Bio

“The goal of life is to make your heartbeat match the beat of the universe, to match your nature with Nature.”    -Joseph Campbell

Kelly created her first darkroom inside her parents garage at age eleven, for the science fair. In high school, she took her first photo course and immersed herself in the process of image making. She spent countless weekends developing black and white prints during wee hours of the night. She graduated from Pratt Institute, NY with a BFA in Photography in 2000. During an internship with renowned photographer Joyce Tenneson, she learned the fine art of portraiture. She opened her own photo studio in 2008 specializing in vintage pin-ups. in 2014, her imagery caught the eye of an art director for Goorin Bros. and was featured in the "CA Girls" hat collection.

Inspired by memories working as a travel photographer/blogger on the island of Palawan, Philippines (www.discoverpalawan.posthaven.com), Kelly started working on an underwater photography series after her daughter was born. As an avid swimmer and diver, the water naturally became a place of refuge and rebirth of her creativity, bringing a sense of new possibilities, play and wonder.

Kelly's currently based in CA and her photography has been exhibited in galleries in the San Francisco Bay Area, New York, and Madrid. For bookings and inquires, please contact Kelly via email or phone.
